Once I had a dream. It was a dream in which I imagined I was more beautiful, intelligent, popular, kind, graceful, and pure-hearted than I view myself in reality. Some girls dream of being princesses, while others dream of themselves as angels. My dream was to have all the power and authority of a Goddess, and still have a human spirit. I did not want to be alone either – I wanted to have trustworthy friends and to find the soul mate I have searched for throughout my life. He would be someone that would stop the yearning deep within my soul.
The strangest part of this dream is that within it I had the power to change into a feline predator (a cat). The darker transformation of this would scare me to the point of screaming in the middle of the night while drenched in the sweat of my own struggle.
Both of these dreams and nightmares have occurred for several nights at a time. For more than twenty years now, to be quite honest. They haunt and enchant me alike. But regardless of their affect in my dream world, they are the basis for the creation of this book: “Stalkers.”
